Course Description
In this course, we will discuss how the pandemic may change the landscape of labor law in Hong Kong. We will be looking at health & safety, the issues arising from remote working and many other new issues. The course is divided into four different sections. We’ll talk about the additional considerations including the safety measures of returning to work, whether employees have a right to be absent when they are concerned about infection, and additional considerations for employers.
In this course, we will cover:
- Working at the office
- Absence from work
- Remote working arrangements
- Termination of employment
Kenneth Leung is a consultant partner of Lewis Silkin. He has over 23 years of experience working in London and Hong Kong advising clients ranging from banks, insurance companies, private equity funds, stockbrokers, multi-nationals, government agencies and NGOs on employment, pensions, reward schemes and related tax issues.
