Course Description
In this course, we will cover the following:
1. Three models of disability.
2. Introduction to the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (CRPD).
3. Human rights approach to disability: CRPD principles, rights, and obligations.
4. Implementing Article 12 and Article 13 of CRPD.

Becky Leung is a lecturer with a multidisciplinary background in law, psychology, and criminology. She holds Ph.D. in Law and was previously a Fulbright Scholar. Becky’s teaching and training interests are nested within the area of criminal justice, policing, criminology, disability rights, psychology, mental health, and communication. Becky also gives training to different professionals, including lawyers, social workers, and law enforcers.
